What they offer
The team operates out of a 6000 square foot facility in Corby that features a workshop, office space and a state of the art driving simulator.
They also operate a comprehensive driver development program for young drivers.
The Richardson Racing Team was founded by Gwyn Richardson, a former racing driver, and his wife Lesley in 2008.
From top level British Championship karting roots, the team moved to competing in the highly competitive Ginetta Championships, quickly proving themselves to be a Championship winning team.
With a proven record of success: GT4 Supercup Team Champions, GT4 Supercup Driver Championship, Ginetta Challenge Vice-Champion and with Louise Richardson gaining a Championship 3rd place in Ginetta Juniors, the team spread their base to encompass single seaters, competing in British Formula Ford. Again, they proved themselves in this category, gaining numerous podiums and class wins in both British Formula Ford and, since 2015, in British F4.
In 2016, the team joined forces with Nick Parkin and this partnership has taken the team to a whole new level. With a huge ongoing investment programme, the team moved to 6000sq ft of modern, pristine workshop and office space in Corby, situated only a mile from the former Rockingham circuit and centrally placed for every race circuit in the UK. The investment encompasses new cars, new equipment, tools and a state-of-the-art Simulator for our clients to learn new tracks and basic skills, leaving precious on-track testing time dedicated to advanced learning.
For the future, the team’s intention is to continue in the Ginetta Championships and British F4, but alongside this, from 2019 they will embark on a GT programme with the ultimate goal of competing at 24 Heures du Mans.
