The evolution of F1 esports including its past challenges and future prospects are just one of the issues covered in this week’s Sim Racing Roundup. I also look at how real and virtual racers train their mental capacity, perfecting your cornering skills and the best iRacing cars of this decade.
From Sim Racing to the Real Thing
Davey Euwema of Sportscar365+ explains how real and virtual racers train their mental capacity by talking to Formula Medicine founder Riccardo Ceccarelli.

This is the last I am going to post about this whole Max Verstappen sim racing during Grand Prix weekends issue. I have to agree with Simone de Rochefort of Polygon, let the F1 champion sim race as much as he wants.
“I don’t need to tell them what to do in their private time over the weekend, and it’s the same for me,” he said at Thursday’s press conference ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix. “For me, this is not something new, I’ve been doing this since 2015, so for me it’s not something that is any different in my preparation. I’ve won three world championships – I think I know pretty well what I can and cannot do.”
Competitive Sim Racing News
Esports Insider looks into the rise, fall and future of F1 esports, “According to a video by sim racing content creator Alex Gillion, the reason for the lack of tournaments last year was due to a contractual disagreement between F1 Esports and ESL, but there was no official confirmation of this from both parties. Regardless of the reasons, instead of constant updates through the proper channels, there was silence.”
