The Euro JK 16 was the premium category in the JK Tyre National Racing Championship. The category features the powerful FB02 cars which are powered by a 1.2-litre BMW bike engines which can hit top speeds of 240 kmph. The Series was earlier known as the JK Racing Asia Series. JK Tyre in 2011 acquired Formula BMW series and rechristened it as the JK Racing Asia Series which later renamed as Euro JK 16. The series has to its credit, produced several Formula One drivers. After dominating the tracks in Asia & Europe, JK Tyre in an effort to fill in the void for its find for the next Formula One driver and give Indian race drivers a world class exposure, brought the series to India in 2013 and since then has been part of the JK Tyre National Racing Championship. The series also showcases a line-up of drivers all around the globe including Asia-Pacific and Europe. The series is run under the tutelage of worlds leading racing organization EURO INTERNATIONAL, who are racing giants and the only team to win all Formula BMW Championships in Europe, USA and Asia.
