The Formula Pro USA F4 Western Championship is a new series that launched in 2018 in the Western part of the United States with most races taking part in the state of California and one in Portland, Oregon. They have forged an official relationship with SCCA Pro Racing and as such are considered to be an unofficial Western Formula 4 Championship as they are using the same chassis/engine combination as that used in the US F4 Championship.
The season ran an official winter series which is being followed by an inaugural 12 round, 6 weekend race calendar where they will be racing at Thunderhill Raceway Park, Buttonwillow Raceway Park, Portland International Raceway, Sonoma Raceway and Laguna Seca.
