BRDC SuperStars is one of two programs run by the British Racing Drivers Club intended to foster young driver development. They also run the BRDC Rising Stars program. According the the BRDC:
Through these complementary programmes the BRDC aims to assist the very best British and Commonwealth drivers achieve their goal of success in top level motor sport whilst also ensuring there is a strong and enthusiastic flow of new members to the Club.
Above all, the BRDC young driver programmes ensure the BRDC remains relevant to those competing in the sport today. BRDC SuperStars and Rising Stars visit National and International racing podiums on a regular basis and since the conception of both programmes, there have been many high profile championships secured by BRDC young drivers. There is no doubt that the Club has an eye for spotting the very best.
The SuperStars Program consists of members selected by the BRDC to represent the elite young drivers that race across a multiple of racing classes. According to the BRDC:
In addition to access to the Club and the opportunities for networking with the Members, the SuperStars will receive direct assistance with all aspects of professional motor sport. This will include help with physical and mental training, career guidance, team building skills, sponsorship advice, media and sales training, PR and marketing, motor sport seminars and workshops with BRDC Members. They will also gain significant benefit of media coverage that the BRDC SuperStars programme itself generates. Indeed, the Club’s endorsement of each young driver’s status as one of the very brightest prospects in motor sport is undoubted but hard to put a value on.
This program applies to British drivers only.
