The Deutsche Post Speed Academy is a driver development program open to young German drivers from various Motorsport championships. It selects promising young drivers and evaluates them four times over their season and if it is determined that they have progressed sufficiently they are given grants towards their racing budgets for the following year. They also provide the drivers with a number of workshops over the course of a season where they are evaluated also. Nico Hulkenberg, Pascal Wehrlein, Marco Wittman, Daniel Abt and Renè Rast are all graduates of the program.
