Who is Behind This?
Brendan Beeken – With more than 20 years’ experience within the motorsport industry, Brendan is established in driver management and motorsport consultancy. Brendan is passionate about what goes on behind the scenes of motorsport, and has a keen eye for young talent and business opportunities. He quickly identifies the best solutions to help drivers and opportunities to reach their potential. Brendan’s motorsport management experience began with the formation of Team Isle of Man, which introduced sponsors to McLaren Autosport BRDC Winner Alex Lloyd and progressed his career to championship winner and IndyCar racer. After successful sponsorship acquisitions, Brendan’s love for the sport, and passion for managing the backroom dealing, has grown, making him a specialist in assisting drivers, teams and partners. As the driving force behind MSL Motorsport Consultancy, Brendan puts a high value on knowing the drivers personally, describing MSL as “an exclusive consultancy and advisory organisation with a passion for working with like-minded businesses, aspirational teams and the talented young drivers of tomorrow”. He continues to develop his relationship within the industry, while maintaining the personal approach.
Martin Jones – Martin has been involved in the highest levels of motorsport for more than 30 years, combining his passion for racing with an impressive business career including providing sponsorship procurement and event management. Martin’s motorsport journey has seen him work with Formula One and CART IndyCar champion Nigel Mansell, MotoGP teams including Yamaha and Tech3 and F1 teams like Williams, Ferrari and McLaren. A motorsport advisor to the UK Government, Martin’s extensive experience includes delivering business reconstruction programmes and consulting with the likes of the European Porsche Supercup and sportscar hero Derek Bell. Alongside motorsport, Martin has broad international business experience at senior levels across areas including change management, mergers and acquisitions, emerging technologies and market analysis. He is retained as a Commercialisation lecturer and mentor for Oxford University and the Oxentia Innovation, and is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and mentor to overseas start-up projects in conjunction with the Newton Trust.
