Who is Behind This?
David Porteous, head of PORTEOUS MEDIA, is a Canadian photographer, documentary filmmaker, musician, audio engineer and graphic designer who currently resides in Toronto, Canada.
Porteous holds a BA in documentary filmmaking and an honours diploma in sound engineering, was nominated as an Olympic Torchbearer, won First Prize in the National Anthem Song Contest, created the World’s first music video for the deaf, was a NOW Magazine Critic’s Pick for NXNE Music Festival and his documentary film War Music was featured in festivals and chosen as top film pick of the day.
Porteous has produced media content for many motorsports series and events including Indycar’s Road to Indy Series, IMSA’s Prototype Challenge and the Baja 1000.
In 2019 Porteous organized a fundraiser for the accessibility focused charity StopGap Foundation in partnership with the Road to Indy presented by Cooper Tires, FatBoy Racing and Surgere to raise $10 000 for the charity at the Honda Indy in Toronto.
