A Selection of Race & Road Cars for Sale in the Motorsport Prospects Marketplace for February 2, 2022

The Motorsport Prospects Marketplace was created in partnership with Racing Edge to offer a wide variety of race and road cars for sale from prestigious dealers around the world. Every week I bring you a variety of cars from their constantly expanding selection that catch my eye with information on how you may purchase any of those that are featured.

Here are this week’s selections. These are truly cars racers can use.

  • This 2019 Porsche 991.2 GT3 R is completely rebuilt and like new, ready to race. There are lots of extras in the car. This is likely one of the only 2019 GT3Rs available! 2019 GEN 2, last FIA specification. It raced last season in ADAC GT Masters.   • This 2018 Audi R8 LMS (EVO) GT4 is track ready with fresh paint and a fresh rebuild and dyno from Audi Sport Customer Racing NA. Be sure to check out the listing for the extensive spares list. It last raced in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Series in 2019 -2020. Current mileage is 11,151 km.   • This 1968 Lotus Elan C Sports-Racer was built in the 60’s as an SCCA C-sports racer. Elan Chassis, 1275cc BMC Mini Cooper S engine mated to a Datsun 5 speed transmission with adjustable suspension. Fiberglass and aluminum bodywork that is beautifully restored.   • Group Racing Developments (GRD) of Griston, Norfolk was founded by a group of ex Lotus engineers and designed / produced a small number of successful Formula cars and 2L Sportscars. The GRD S72 is widely acclaimed for it’s stiff chassis and it’s very efficient wing. This 1972 GRD S72 on sale has been subject to a recent rebuild by Simon Hadfield. The currently installed FVC could be legally replaced with a BDG for which the adapter plate and wiring loom are present. Ideal Masters entry with BDG engine under the new regulations.   • Finally, this week’s road car is a 2015 Aston Martin V8 Vantage offered for sale through European Exotic Center. A two door coupe with GT-style trim it features a 4.7L V8 32-Valve DOHC engine mated to a 6-Speed Manual with 7,752 on the odometer.
