1981 Porsche 935 K4
This 1981 Porsche 935 K4, one of only two chassis built by Kremer Racing, represents the pinnacle of 935 development. This highly modified race car, featuring an 800+ horsepower 3.2-liter flat-six engine and a 4-speed manual transmission, was driven by legendary racers such as John Fitzpatrick, Bob Wollek, and Derek Bell. With a full tubular chassis and only the roof and windshield supplied by Porsche, the K4 was a radical evolution of the factory 935. It achieved eight 1st place finishes and 13 podiums, including two wins in Europe with Wollek and five IMSA victories under Fitzpatrick’s ownership. The car’s success is a testament to Kremer Racing’s engineering prowess and continuous development of the 935 concept.
After its competitive career, the K4 passed through several owners, including actor Nicolas Cage. Most recently, the car underwent an extensive restoration to its 1983 IMSA specifications, retaining its original mechanical brilliance and aggressive aerodynamic design. Revered as one of the most powerful 935s ever built, this car embodies the end of the GT racing era, with accolades from drivers like Fitzpatrick, who called it the fastest 935 ever. Now meticulously maintained and restored, this K4 is a rare opportunity for collectors and racing enthusiasts alike.

1979 Porsche 935 Joest
This 1979 Porsche 935 Joest, the first of the Joest-built Porsche 935s, is a significant piece of racing history, boasting two 1st place finishes and 15 podiums. The car features a 3.2-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, recently rebuilt with only three hours of use. Known for Joest Racing’s enhancements, such as a tubular space frame for improved suspension and factory-specific aerodynamics, the car represents Joest’s pioneering contributions to the 935 platform.
After its retirement from racing in 1981, the car was owned by Swiss collector Albert Obrist and later by former F1-czar Bernie Ecclestone. In 2006, Canepa acquired it for race preparation and maintenance, ensuring its pristine condition. The car underwent further inspections and a top-end engine rebuild in 2018, maintaining its remarkable originality and race-readiness. With its strong racing pedigree and impeccable condition, the 935 Joest is a prime example of a historic Group 5 racer, perfect for vintage racing events or as part of an elite private collection.

Heron GT MK IV
The Heron MK4 GT Sports Racing Car, designed and built in 1967 by Ross Baker, Bob Gee, and Chris Cooke, is a replica of the Ford GT40 MK4, inspired by its success at Le Mans. Baker and Gee meticulously researched the GT40’s design and specifications, choosing to power the car with a 327 ci Chevrolet Corvette engine. However, the gearbox posed a challenge, so they designed and built their own unit using a combination of Ford Zephyr gears and other custom components. They also constructed a steel monocoque chassis with fiberglass body panels and fabricated the suspension from steel with coils. The project was two-thirds complete when the sports car racing body changed the engine capacity limit to 2000cc, rendering the Heron MK4 obsolete before it ever raced.
Despite this setback, the car was completed in 1988 and raced at the Whenuapai Wings and Wheels event, where it performed well but was held back by its outdated 1967 brakes. After changing hands and spending time in New Zealand, the United States, and Belgium, it was eventually purchased by its current owner, who prepared it for European racing with the help of Adrias Stals in Latvia. The car received upgraded brakes, new coil-overs, and an increase in engine horsepower, while still using the original Heron-designed transaxle. The Heron MK4 has since competed successfully in several races, including at Le Mans in 2018, performing strongly in a mixed field.
