Sportscars
Above is a video of driver Rob Wheldon running a Revolution Race Cars SC500 at Portimao on his best lap. You can run the Radical in the Sports Prototype Cup running this December that I had mentioned last week.
The new Bell Sport Challenge has been announced in the UK and it will be open to all models of paddleshift Ferrari Challenge cars, right from the 360 Challenge up to the current 488 beast, with individual classes for each. The category is designed to take gentleman racers that perhaps have one of these cars lying largely unused out onto the race track in a friendly environment and compete against like-minded individuals. Radical Global Motorsports Director Tom Drewer reflects on the recently concluded Radical World Finals in Racer. “The diversity of drivers, where they came from and the age range was significant and it provided for some great on-track racing,” said Drewer. “When the final checkered flag flew it was a young Filipino superstar Daryel DeLeon – the newly-crowned UK SR1 Champion; a British Indy Lights star in Toby Sowery, and Patrick Liddy – a member of the Lamborghini Young Drivers program – who walked away with World Finals titles.”
Single-Seaters
Plans for the new European series to sit between FIA Formula 3 and Formula 4 have been announced, with the name Eurocup-3. “Eurocup-3 will have a minimum age for drivers of 16 years old, and each race event will include two 40-minute practice sessions, two 15-minute qualifying sessions and then two races each lasting half an hour plus one lap. The standard FIA points system will be used, but with two points for pole and one for fastest lap. Half of the eight-round season will take place in Spain (at Motorland Aragon, Valencia, Jerez and Barcelona), then the other half will be at tracks abroad. The four international venues selected for the inaugural season are Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, Zandvoort and Estoril.”

Newly crowned TCR Australia champion Tony D’Alberto is looking forward to the new generation Honda Civic Type R TCR which he expect to arrive mid-season 2023. “We’re hearing really good things about the new Honda,” said D’Alberto in an interview with V8 Sleuth.
Stock Cars
NASCAR has announced the creation of NASCAR Brasil Sprint Race, the sanctioning body’s fourth international series and first in South America. The series, which will begin competition in 2023, is a partnership between NASCAR and the GT Sprint Race series in Brazil. “Brazil is a vibrant country, rich in motorsports culture and community, and the perfect location for our first series in South America,” said Chad Seigler, NASCAR Vice President of International. “NASCAR Brasil Sprint Race will allow us to showcase the exciting side-by-side racing that defines NASCAR while giving Brazilian race fans a series to which they feel connected. It is our hope and intention that this series also opens more pathways for the country’s best drivers, mechanics and engineers to advance to NASCAR’s national series in the United States, the worldwide pinnacle of stock car racing.”
