Plans for a new junior category to support the British Touring Car Championship from 2027 have been revealed. The series will feature a bespoke rear-wheel-drive car developed by Power Maxed Racing. The championship will be operated by PMR’s sister operation Power Maxed Motorsport and follows unsuccessful attempts to launch an unrelated new junior series on the BTCC undercard this year. IMSA has announced that the VP Racing SportsCar Challenge will expand from six to ten race weekends in 2026, adding four LMP3 endurance races to the calendar next season. Daily Sportscar has all the details.


TCR Europe Confirms 2026 Schedule

The TCR Europe calendar for the 2026 season has been revealed ahead of the final round of the current campaign this weekend in Spain. The schedule features six meetings that will run between March and October, with a new venue kicking off the season when TCR Europe visits Mugello for the first time.


Goa Added as Round Four of Indian F4 Championship

Round four of five of the Indian F4 Championship finally got a venue confirmed on September 11, at a launch event for a new street circuit in Vasco da Gama. The track will take the name of Goa, the state that Vasco is in, and will host Indian F4 and the sister Indian Racing League for its inaugural event on November 1/2 as part of a three-year deal. Its 12-turn, 1.99-mile layout will go anti-clockwise around the Bogda peninsula, and was chosen after a six-month search for a suitable location in Goa to race.

SCCA Has Just Lowered the Barrier to Road Racing in Two Very Significant Ways

SCCA® has just taken several big steps to broaden access for drivers and race cars. As of the beginning of September, SCCA no longer requires a Novice Permit to attend a wheel-to-wheel SCCA Drivers’ School; the Club also now allows Race Experience vehicles to be issued a logbook with what amounts to a “basic safety logbook.” That means those looking to go wheel-to-wheel racing with the Sports Car Club of America can now do so with fewer barriers to entry. Willow Springs Raceway Unveils Track Renovations

Willow Springs International Raceway recently took the wraps off extensive renovations to two of its most popular tracks, marking the first chapter in a new era for the historic road racing facility located in Rosamond, Calif.

The 1.8-mile Streets of Willow Springs road course and 0.625-mile kart track have both undergone significant investment and modernization to improve safety and upgrade the overall on-track experience.
