ERA Racing School Announces Gen 2 Cars

Barcelona-Catalunya Leads Latest Sustainable Circuits Index Rankings

Hasselt-based company ERA Advanced has presented its second-generation electric racecar to a select group of clients, investors and motorsport professionals. The unveiling took place during a private event and marks an important milestone for the Limburg technology company, which is aiming its newest car at the international motorsport market.

The Gen 2 car was developed entirely in-house. Every system was re-evaluated with one goal in mind: to build an electric racecar with unmatched performance, accessible to a wide audience and easy to maintain.

In-house technology as a key advantage: battery, LVDN system and AI

One of the strongest features of the Gen 2 is its fully internally developed battery. Because ERA Advanced builds the battery itself, different sizes can be offered depending on the application and customer needs. This flexibility is unique in the sector and gives the Hasselt company a clear competitive edge.

In addition, ERA Advanced introduces the LVDN system — a 48‑volt Low Voltage Data Network. This fully software-defined system enables smarter, lighter and safer data transfer onboard. Like the battery, the system was developed entirely by the in-house engineering team, underscoring ERA Advanced’s technological ambition.

A third innovation is the integrated AI system, which connects the driver, the car and the engineer in real time. Data flows continuously to all parties, enabling faster decision-making and elevating the collaboration between driver and technical team.

ERA Racing School: “The ideal starting point for a solid racing education”

ERA Racing School, a long-standing customer of ERA Advanced, shared its experiences after years of intensive use of the electric racecars. Xavier Maassen of ERA Racing School emphasized the low operational costs and exceptional ease of use.

“The cars are extremely favourable in running cost. They require very little additional maintenance or overhaul, and they are the ideal starting point for drivers seeking a solid racing education.”
— Xavier Maassen, ERA Racing School

Proud of what the team has achieved

“With the Gen 2, we prove that electric racing is not a compromise. Thanks to our own battery, the LVDN system and onboard AI, we offer something that doesn’t exist anywhere else. We’re proud of what our team has built and grateful for the trust of our customers.”
— Dieter Vanswijgenhoven, CEO ERA Advanced

The fleet is at Circuit Zolder and can be seen — and driven — by serious buyers. Full details can be obtained by contacting ERA here: eraracingschool.com or Dieter@era-advanced.com.

The Toyota GR Philippine Cup Returns from July 9 to 11 and Will Use Biofuels

The Toyota Gazoo Racing (TGR) Philippine Cup is officially returning to the track on July 9 to 11, at the Clark International Speedway in Angeles, Pampanga. This time, the race weekend will also act as a ‘rolling laboratory’ to test out alternative fuels.

As the second leg finally resumes, the TGR Philippine Cup will be using biofuel for the races, including the Tamaraw One-Make Race (OMR), as it continues to navigate the National Emergency Crisis. Toyota Motor Philippines says that it has always served as a trial ground to build ever-better cars. Testing biofuel in real racing conditions should help advance innovation and move towards more sustainable racing.
