Max Verstappen’s success is driven by the sim and in this week’s Sim Racing Roundup Helmut Marko explains why. I also have more sim racing tips and tricks, the latest sim racing tech news and much more!
From Sim Racing to the Real Thing

Helmut Marko has given an insight into the secret to Max Verstappen’s success in Formula 1. “But on top of that, he has unbelievable talent. He had his training, as I mentioned, from Jos, but also – the rest of the time – he is on a simulator. I can’t really say how much it helps, but I believe whatever happens to him, he knows about it because he has seen it in one of the simulator situations. He’s committed. He is just interested in racing. He does, besides that, nothing. He has quite a simple life, and all that together makes a very strong racing personality.”

Nissan Formula E Team is delighted to announce that 2024 F1 Academy champion Abbi Pulling will be joining the Japanese outfit as rookie and simulator driver on a multi-year agreement. The 22-year-old impressed the Formula E paddock last November at Circuito del Jarama in Madrid, topping the timesheets in the first-ever all-women’s session.
Pulling will become an important member of the team both on and off-track, taking part in Rookie Tests, simulator work and event preparation, as well as in the initial set-up of the squad’s new state-of-the-art, bespoke Dynisma simulator ahead of Season 12.
