Lola’s reborn T70S may evoke memories of one of endurance racing’s greatest icons, but this feature at RACER argues that the car’s real purpose is to showcase the company’s future. By combining classic styling with sustainable composite materials, low-carbon manufacturing techniques, and engineering innovations developed through its modern motorsport programs, Lola is using its heritage as a platform to demonstrate where the company is headed—not where it has been.

Formula E and the FIA today announce an update to the 2026/27 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship calendar, with the 2027 Monaco E-Prix now scheduled to take place on 1 and 2 May, 2027.

This date change, which moves the event from the originally scheduled 15 and 16 May, serves to accommodate the country’s events calendar and removes a scheduling clash with the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Furthermore, Formula E and the ACM are delighted to confirm a long-term commitment to the Principality, extending their agreement to host the Monaco E-Prix until 2031.

Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds has been recently featured in Business Chief.

One of the biggest misconceptions we need to overcome is that performance and sustainability are opposing forces. They aren’t. Formula E proves that world-class racing can both coexist with and be a catalyst for cleaner technology, greater efficiency, and cutting-edge innovation.

My conversation with Business Chief this month explores the unique opportunity we have at Formula E to shape the future of mobility and accelerate innovation in electrification, sustainability and AI.
