Racecraft Tips & Techniques
How You Can Go Faster with Remote Coaching

Need coaching? Certainly, we can all find ways to improve. But what if we said you might not need that coach in your passenger seat? Or even at the track? The only thing you need is a camera or a rudimentary data system. Crazy? Not these days. Ross Bentley does it for a living, working remotely with drivers all the way to IMSA–and all from the comfort of his own home in Vancouver. Read this article at Grassroots Motorsports where he explains how it works.
How Does My Car’s Weight Distribution Affect My Driving?
Continuing with tips from Ross Bentley, in a recent Speed Secrets article he explains how your car’s weight distribution affects your driving. “Cars with weight concentrated in the middle (with a lower polar moment of inertia) tend to change direction more quickly than cars with the weight hanging out the front or rear, which typically allows you to turn in exactly where you want; cars with weight out at the far ends of the chassis tend to require anticipating where it will eventually change direction.”
How to Use Data Analysis to Find Speed on the Autocross Course
There are plenty of excellent data options for today’s autocross enthusiast. In addition to the autocross-centric SoloStorm suite, both the Apex Pro and VBox can be configured for point-to-point runs. Grassroots Motorsports looks into how to use data analysis to find speed on the autocross course,
This Mental Reset Skill Will Win You Races

The video above from Enzo Mucci is all about one of the mental resilience techniques that he uses with drivers and people who need to reset their mind within seconds. “Make this your own.”
Confusion in Racing: Mental Health vs. Mental Performance
In modern motorsport, we constantly hear the words “mental preparation” thrown around. Yet too often, what’s delivered is little more than basic stress management disguised as cutting-edge coaching. The truth is, motorsport still confuses mental health with mental performance, and this confusion is costing drivers wins, and sometimes, careers. Minds on Track delves into the difference between mental health and mental performance and what to look for in a mental coach.

Race Car & Series Developments
Ginetta Introduces New GT2 Car to the Track

Ginetta’s brand new GT2 competitor made its competitive racing debut in the SRO European GT2 Series this past weekend. As with all Ginetta products, the GT2 is no track-modified road car, but a purposefully designed and built racing machine. Powered by a Ginetta-manufactured, supercharged, 6.3-litre V8, the GT2 is capable of up to 800bhp (pre-Balance of Performance adjustment) and benefits from upgrades including a billet aluminum block and billet dry sump, both also machined in-house by Ginetta engineers.
Daily Sportscar explains why Ginetta is confident that the latest evolution of its G56 platform provides a potent and cost-effective option for GT2 racers.
Ginetta Joins SRO GT Academy’s New GT2 European Series Powered by Pirelli Initiative
Sticking with the Ginetta GT2, Ginetta has become the third manufacturer to commit to the SRO GT Academy’s expanded GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli initiative for the 2026 season. It comes on the eve of the British brand’s series debut this weekend at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, which will be followed by a full-scale assault next year.
Ginetta joins Maserati and Mercedes-AMG in supporting the SRO GT Academy, which is open to Silver-graded drivers under the age of 30 who compete with one of these brands. The star performer will earn a funded (excluding crash damage) Mercedes-AMG GT3 seat with an AMG Customer Racing Team for the 2027 GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup.
The SRO GT Academy will use an assessment-based process to reveal each driver’s true ability and potential, eliminating external factors such as co-driver performance, reliability and luck. This will also ensure that entrants from the Pro-Am class and those competing in the new Silver Cup can be judged equally.
Race results will not be considered. Instead, points will be awarded for the quickest qualifying and race laps, as well as the average time across each driver’s fastest 10 race laps. Points will be deducted when a driver is deemed responsible for an accident by the panel of Stewards, or for losing control of the car off-track.
Area 27’s Radical Cup Canada West Puts Okanagan on the Racing Map
Known for its wineries, fruit orchards, pine forests and scenic lakes, the Okanagan region in British Columbia can now also boast about having one of the largest Radical Cup grids anywhere in the world. The picturesque valley is home to the luxury motorsports club Area 27.
A gearhead’s paradise, Area 27 features a 3-mile, 16-turn circuit designed by Formula 1 world champion Jacques Villeneuve with high-downforce cars in mind. And that’s where the Radical Cup Canada West comes in, allowing members to take full advantage of 357 ft of elevation change, long straight and a mixture of both high-speed and technical corners. Their recent season finale race saw a record 26 cars take to the track. Read more at RACER.
