FIA, ACO, IMSA Outline 2030 Top Class Regulations

The FIA, ACO and IMSA have confirmed the foundation of a unified set of top-class prototype regulations that are due to debut in the 2030 World Endurance Championship and WeatherTech SportsCar Championship seasons.
“Today’s the framework, now it’s our responsibility to make sure this platform continues to deliver value and return on investment for everyone involved. We hope this continues for decades to come.”

Silverstone Added to Expanded Nine-Round 2027 WEC Calendar
Silverstone will return to the World Endurance Championship for the first time in eight years, with the British track joining an expanded nine-round calendar for the 2027 season.
“Following several seasons of stability, the growing popularity of FIA WEC – amongst manufacturers, media and fans – convinced us that now is the right time to expand the schedule,” said FIA WEC CEO Frederic Lequien.
New Race Series for Asia Revealed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
A new home for teams and driver wishing to compete in LMP3 in Asia has been announced at the ACO Press Conference at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The new series will be called the Asian Le Mans Cup, which will run on the same weekends as the Asian Le Mans Series, and will be for LMP3 and GT3.
The Asian Le Mans Cup will feature three classes, LMP3, LMP3 Pro/Am and GT3. LMP3 will be for gold and silver drivers, while LMP3 Pro/Am and GT3 must have at least one bronze driver in the line-up. Platinum drivers are not eligible to compete in the Asian Le Mans Cup.
Genesis Presents Magma GT3 Concept

Korean manufacturer Genesis showed off a brand-new Magma GT3 Concept car on the eve of its Le Mans 24 Hours debut.
“The Genesis Magma GT3 Concept is one potential future direction for Genesis Magma Racing, alongside our FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar program, as we continue to grow in support of the Genesis brand,” said Abiteboul. “From the outset, we have stated that Genesis Magma Racing is a long-term project, and this concept represents one possible avenue for future expansion. Like Hypercar, GT3 has become one of motorsport’s great recent success stories. Having Genesis and Genesis Magma Racing represented in GT3 would create a closer connection between the road-going and racing sides of the brand while further strengthening our profile in world motorsport.”

Strong Uptake for Radical Approved Team Program in USA, Canada and UK
Radical Motorsport has announced the launch of its new Radical Approved Customer Team program in North America and the UK, designed to recognize and reward professional race teams operating Radical cars.
To qualify, teams must meet minimum professional standards, including:
– Operating as a registered company with a dedicated workshop.
– Employing factory-certified Radical technicians.
– Providing adequate engineering and driver coaching support to customers.
– Presenting a professional image at the track through facilities, staff and equipment.
– Actively running cars in Radical Cup and/or club racing competition.
Teams that achieve this status are granted the right to display the official “Radical Approved Race Team” logo, underlining their quality and alignment with the Radical brand.
