200+ Laps Before Race Day: How a GT4 Driver Prepares on the Sim
Preparation is everything. Before hitting the track, GT4 driver Chris Spada put in 200+ laps on the simulator to dial everything in. The goal is simple: eliminate uncertainty so he can focus only on what matters when he’s in the real car. His level of preparation builds confidence and keeps his performance consistent.
BWT Alpine Formula One Team Installs Dynisma Simulator Technology

Dynisma Ltd. has completed the installation of a Dynisma driving simulator at BWT Alpine Formula One Teamโs Enstone HQ. The installation was completed during 2025 as a key investment in new simulator capabilities, which supported the teamโs preparation ahead of the introduction of the 2026 Formula One technical regulations and serves as a key tool in its ongoing racing program.
The simulator is used to support car development, setup evaluation and driver preparation during the 2026 season and will continue to form a core part of the teamโs technical capability in future seasons.
BWT Alpine Formula One Team: โThe 2026 Formula One regulations are a big departure from anything that we had before and required completely new cars in every aspect. Simulator work is a core part of how we develop and refine the car across multiple areas and is especially useful when there are such big changes. Driverโinโtheโloop simulation helps us to understand vehicle and system behaviours and to connect driver feedback with our wider engineering data. Dynismaโs motion technology provides a realistic and repeatable environment that supports that process and underpins informed decisionโmaking throughout the season.โ
Ash Warne, Founder & CTO of Dynisma: โIn all forms of vehicle development, simulation needs to deliver realism and trusted correlation if it is to add real value. That depends on a true 1:1 response between what drivers and engineers experience in the simulator and what is seen in track data, wind tunnel testing and CFD. We are pleased to see this capability being used by BWT Alpine Formula One Team as a client, supporting confident decisionโmaking across a complex development programme under the current regulations.โ
Introducing Simucube Performance Center

Simcube has introduced their Simucube Performance Center in Finland. Simucube Performance Center is primarily aimed at professionals, junior drivers pursuing a professional career, and racing teams โ as a training environment and testing facility. Our goal is to develop drivers and co-drivers and help them reach their goals and progress in their careers. We can also offer training and development for professional-level simulator teams and drivers. It is a training partner of AKK-Motorsportโs Flying Finn Academy.
Powered by Simucube technology and developed in partnership with Crazy Finn Academy, the center gives drivers the tools to train, analyze, improve and prepare for real competition.

Oscar Piastriโs F1 Simulator Race Against 30 iRacers at HP Tuners HQ

Oscar Piastri raced 30 HP Tuners community iRacers on a SimCraft APEX 6 GT F1 simulator at HQ during Miami GP week. Inside the Time Attack Challenge.
“Itโs hard to script a better story than the one that played out at HP Tuners headquarters in the Chicago area on Monday, May 4, 2026. F1 was in the USA for the Miami GP that same weekend. The Miami International Autodrome on the grounds of Hard Rock Stadium was full of garages, grandstands, and the usual grand prix circus. And at HP Tuners HQ, Oscar Piastri walked in, sat down in the SimCraft cockpit, and raced thirty of the companyโs own community sim racers on the same Miami GP circuit, in the same papaya-colored McLaren GT3 car, on a SimCraft APEX 6 GT racing simulator.”
Read all the details of how the event unfolded at the SimCraft website here.
From Digital Twin to Engineering Tool: Turning Simulation into Structured Decision-Making
A high-fidelity vehicle model is a prerequisite for professional simulation. On its own, however, it is not sufficient. The real value of simulation emerges not from realism alone, but from how that realism is used.
In a professional motorsport environment, a simulator session is not a demonstration. It is an engineering exercise. Each run has a defined objective, each change has a rationale, and each conclusion must withstand scrutiny.
This article from Virtex explains how simulation is treated as a structured decision-making platform built around a validated digital twin.
The Intersection of Esports and Motorsports: Common Grounds and Future Potential in Sustainability
Esports and motorsports, despite emerging in different eras, share striking similarities in their evolution and their deep-seated integration of technology into athletic performance. The impact of global technological revolutions on these two disciplines is undeniable. While motorsports were born from the internal combustion engine and the engineering prowess of the Industrial Revolution, esports owe their existence to the globalization of information technology โ specifically the internet and digital hardware (Hutchins & Rowe, 2013; FIA, 2023). In essence, both branches represent the adaptation of their eraโs peak innovations into competitive sports, pioneering the fusion of technical excellence with mass-audience appeal.
This article by Dr. Tunahan Aslan explains how.
