As part of my way of contributing back to the motorsport community I will have a monthly spotlight on a motorsport-related charity that will be highlighted on the blog and all of my social media. Motorsport-related charities will have a free listing in the Motorsport Prospects Directory and their events will be featured for free on the Motorsport Prospects Events page. If you are involved in a motorsport-related charity or know of one you think deserves of some recognition, please do not hesitate to let me know.
This month I am featuring Race Against Dementia, a charity started by former Formula 1 driver Sir Jackie Stewart after his beloved wife Helen was diagnosed with dementia.
There are 50 million people living with the dementia across the globe, and every minute this figure is rising. A diagnosis of dementia doesn’t just impact one person: its effects ripple through entire families, wreaking devastation on countless lives.
What they Do
Race Against Dementia raises and allocates funds to accelerate global research and development in the race to find a prevention or treatment for dementia. You can learn more about their research here.
How you can get involved
Your donation will help fund ground breaking global research into new treatments and methods of prevention that will beat dementia. You can donate here.
