A Free Motorsport Marketing Course for Women in Motorsport

Daryl Curtis of the Women in Motorsports Facebook Group is currently in the process of preparing material for a motorsports marketing tutorial. He is offering his motorsport marketing course to the women in the group free of charge. The course will be broken into units, basically he will walk you through everything that his mentor Charlie Hayes taught but in increments over a period of time, probably in 8 weeks or so. He will do this in one-on-one instruction, or in small groups via ZOOM. And he will do this on your time schedule (and his, as long as he can accommodate your time schedule). To get more information you can contact him at DarylCurtis@kerciejungracing.com or through the Women in Motorsports Facebook group. This offer only applies to the women in the group.

Forbes has a great article on Trans Am racer Michele Abbate. It traces her journey to where she is now and details some of her sponsorship strategies. “I have been finding sponsors ever since I started driving even at the autocross level just because I didn’t have family backing or an angel investor that could write the big check,” Abbate said. “What’s funny is that the first race car I ever raced, you look at it and it had 30 sponsors on it.”
