The SCCA website talks to race driver Mason Filippi about his new motorsport company OpenFender, a service that helps drivers obtain what he calls “micro sponsorships.”
“OpenFender is a fundraising and sponsorship platform for motorsports,” Filippi says. “We help put the fan, the sponsor, the driver and, in the case of the SCCA, the Regions in one place – you have a micro site where you can place all of your social media and collect sponsorship money. It’s like having an online driver resume, but people can also find you and sponsors can hunt for you.”

Women in Motorsports North America has announced the second year of its contingency fund program open to women NASCAR drivers aged 21 and over.
“Coming off the record-setting payouts of the 2023 racing season, Women in Motorsports North America (WIMNA) is excited to once again offer $200,000 in contingency money supporting women pursuing racing careers in NASCAR-sanctioned racing series. The program utilizes a points system for women drivers 21 years and older with monetary rewards based on race results throughout the 2024 racing season.”
