The Motorsport Prospects Charity Spotlight is on The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive

This is such a wonderful idea and hearkens back to a time gone by while making a valuable contribution to some very serious issues confronting men today.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive is a celebration of classic style. 2021 is the inaugural event, taking place on Sunday, September 26th. It is an on-road motoring event, uniting pre-80’s designed classic cars, encouraging drivers and passengers around the world to dress dapper and drive for men’s health. All funds raised are invested in vital research and programs for prostate cancer and men’s mental health by Movember.

The Issue

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for men’s health. Specifically, they are are working together with Movember to combat prostate cancer and mental health impacting men all around the world. The funds they raise build vital programs and fund life-saving research, as they encourage those close to all of us to take care of themselves, the same way we care for our cars.

Our Mission with Movember

Our focus is on gentlemen who have been dealt a tough hand in life. In particular, we raise funds for cutting-edge research into prostate cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention programs, as part of our mission to support men’s health globally. These funds are invested by our partner, Movember, which is the world’s largest men’s health organisation.

Mental Health & Suicide Prevention

510,000 men die from suicide globally each year. That’s one every minute. This has to change.

The causes of suicide are complex. There’s no single reason why men take their own lives, but we do know that by improving overall mental health we can reduce the risk of suicide. We need to address untreated mental health conditions among men.

Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in men. Movember is the largest funder of prostate cancer programs in the world. One of the most worrying aspects of the disease is that most prostate cancers develop without men experiencing any symptoms in the early stages.

What they Do

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Drive is organizing events in 42 countries. On Sunday, September 26th, thousands of drivers around the world will start their engines to drive for a worthwhile cause.
