The mission of Motorsport Prospects is to become the preeminent source of motorsport resources for race drivers. Whether that involves researching teams, racing series or motorsport-related services in the directory, reading up on the various motorsport-related features on the Motorsport Prospects blog or keeping track of developments through my social media posts, Motorsport Prospects really works hard to give the racing driver information they can use to help them win.
Part of this mission is expanding into coverage of club and vintage racing as well as “gentlemen” racing. In the past I have talked to people like Johnny Mowlem and Derek DeBoer, looked at prototype racing with Jesse Gröse, peaked behind the scenes of Radical Racing with Jonathan Scarallo and published a primer on the Ferrari Challenge. I have covered everything from motorsport insurance, the legal issues involved in being a race driver and podcasts that all race drivers should listen to. And I am just getting started.
While the directory deals with things like series you can compete in, teams you can race for and coaches, trainers and track-side servicing companies you can employ, there is not too much on the site related to cars you can actually race. That has now changed with the Motorsport Prospects Marketplace. Created in partnership with Racing Edge, the Marketplace is a digital marketplace for users to buy, sell or list race cars that reaches a global audience to suit each unique user’s needs in collaboration with a number of respected global race car dealers. There are racing cars suitable for historic, club, track day and GT racing. In addition, it features some incredible road cars of interest to the car collector and aficionado.
As I embark on this partnership, look for the Motorsport Prospects blog and the upcoming newsletter to highlight some interesting cars from the Marketplace, cars that you can purchase and race today. Who knows? Your perfect car may just be there waiting for you to strap on and head out to the track with.
